Composition:

Clobetasol Propionate 0.05%w/w + Gentamycin Sulphate 0.02%w/w + Miconazole Nitrate 2.0% w/w + Zinc oxide 0.1% w/w

Indications:

For the treatment of more resistant dermatoses such as psoriasis (excluding wide spread plaque psoriasis), recalcitrant eczema, lichen planus, discoid lupus erythematosus and other conditions which do not respond satisfactory to less active steroids.

Contra Indications:

Rosacea, acne vulgaris and perioral dermatitis, primary cutaneous viral infections (e.g. Herpes simplex, chickenpox).

Special Precautions:

Systematic absorption topical corticosteroids has resulted in reversible hypothalamic pituitary adrenal (HPA) axis suppression, manifestation of Cushing’s syndrome, hyperglycemia and glycosuria in some patients, suppress the HPA axis in doses as low as 2 per day.

Side effects:

Burning and stinging sensation, less frequent adverse reactions were itching skin, atrophy, cracking and fissuring of the skin, erythemia, folliculitis, skin atrophy and  telangiectasia.
