Uses
Ledex l Syp is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms:
Cough
Chest congestion
Thickened mucus cough
Asthma
Acute sore throat
Constriction of airways
Acute and chronic bronchopulmonary diseases associated with abnormal mucus secretion
Lungs inflammation
Mechanism of Action and Pharmacology
Ledex  l Syp works by performing the following functions:
Relaxing the muscles in the airways.
Promoting mucus clearance, having anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and local anaesthetic effects.
Reducing the phlegm in the air passages.
Side-effects
The following is a list of possible side-effects that may occur from all constituting ingredients of Ledex l  Syp. These side-effects are possible, but do not always occur. Some of the side-effects may be rare but serious. Consult your doctor if you observe any of the following side-effects, especially if they do not go away.
Tremors especially of hands
Severe hypokalemia
Vomiting
Diarrhea
Tiredness
Urge to vomit
Precautions & How to Use
Before using Ledex syp, inform your doctor about your current list of medications, over the counter products (e.g. vitamins, herbal supplements, etc.), allergies, pre-existing diseases, and current health conditions (e.g. pregnancy, upcoming surgery, etc.). Some health conditions may make you more susceptible to the side-effects of the drug. Take as directed by your doctor or follow the direction printed on the product insert. Dosage is based on your condition. Tell your doctor if your condition persists or worsens. Important counseling points are listed below.
Consult doctor if condition worsens or does not improve after 14 days of use
Consult your doctor immediately if you develop breathing difficulty, swelling on your face, neck throat or tongue
Contact doctor immediately if experiencing allergic symptoms to this medication
First trimester of pregnancy
Have high blood pressure and heart disease
If you are suffering from liver or kidney problems, or if you are taking alcohol
Drug Interactions
If you use other drugs or over the counter products at the same time, the effects of Ledex syp may change. This may increase your risk for side-effects or cause your drug not to work properly. Tell your doctor about all the drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are using, so that you doctor can help you prevent or manage drug interactions. Ledex l  Syp may interact with the following drugs and products:
Antibiotics
Bendroflumethiazide
Carvedilol
Nadolol
Sotalol
Timolol
ContraIndications
Hypersensitivity to  Ledex  l Syp is a contraindication. In addition,  Ledex  l Syp should not be used if you have the following conditions:
Allergic reactions
Breastfeeding
Breathing difficulty
History of allergy to Ambroxol or Bromhexine
Pregnant
Taking more than one cough or cold medicine
