Description

Mechanism of Action and Pharmacology

Levatin-F works  by performing the following functions:
•    Inhibiting HMG-CoA reductase and reduces triglycerides levels in the blood.
•    Increasing the action of enzyme lipoprotein lipase to decrease the level of fats in the blood.

 

Side-Effects

•    Type 2 diabetes mellitus
•    Myopathy
•    Joint pain
•    Diarrhea
•    Upset stomach
•    Muscle pain

 

Precautions & How to Use

•    Alcoholism
•    Avoid excess alcohol while on atorvastatin
•    Avoid grapefruit and grapefruit juice
•    Avoid intake of excess fat
•    Consult a doctor if you have renal or hepatic impairment, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, kidney or liver ailments, muscular disorders or poorly controlled diabetes mellitus

•    Active liver disease
•    Children less than 18 years old
•    Hypersensitivity
•    Lactation
•    Preexisting gallbladder disease
•    Pregnancy
