Cefixime 200 mg

Description

Cefixime is a cephalosporin antibiotic, and cause of its bactericidal effect its attaching to penicillin-binding proteins (PBP) and inhibiting peptidoglycan synthesis, thus causing damage to the bacterial cell wall. It has been demonstrated by recent studies that combination of Cefixime and tab shows significantly better symptoms relief compared with the modest improvement of Typhoid fever, Urinary tract infection, Respiratory tract infection and Bone and joint infection.

Mode of Action

Cefixime stops bacteria multiplying by preventing formation of cell walls that surround them because Cefixime is bactericidal beta-lactam antibiotic and it disrupt the synthesis of the peptidoglycan layer of bacterial cell walls. The peptidoglycan layer is important for cell wall structural integrity and it protect bacteria from their environment and to keep the contents of the bacterial cell together so without a cell wall bacteria cannot survive and die.

Contra Indications

It is contraindicated in patients with known allergies to the cephalosporin or penicillin antibiotics or to any ingredients in the formulation or component of the container.

 

Drug Interactions

Before Taking the medicine tell the doctor about any medical problems and allergies that the patient has now or was having in past Do not start, stop, or change the dosage of any medicines without your doctor's approval.Some products that may interact with this drug include: "blood thinners" (e.g., warfarin), live bacterial vaccines, probenecid.
