Description

Pred 16/4 is used for Arthritis, Dermatitis, Meningitis, Crohn's disease, Leukemia,  Asthma and other conditions.

Mechanism of Action and Pharmacology

Methylprednisolone improves the patient's condition by performing the following functions:
•    Increasing the level of corticosteroid and controls inflammation.

Side-Effects

•    Cataract
•    Increased fluid retention in the body
•    Fatigue
•    Susceptibility to infections
•    Cushingoid appearance
•    Impaired healing of wounds

Precautions

•    Adrenocortical insufficiency
•    Diverticulitis
•    Fresh intestinal anastomoses
•    Hypothyroidism
•    Psychic derangements
•    Active or latent peptic ulcer

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to Methylprednisolone is a contraindication. In addition,  Methylprednisolone should not be used if you have the following conditions:
